Webfleet Solutions, a leading telematics service provider and part of Bridgestone, has achieved the ISO 14001:2015 certification. This is an environmental management standard advanced by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). It provides an international framework to help organisations minimise their impact on the environment and comply with applicable global environmental laws and regulations.

Justin Manson, sales director at Webfleet, says as part of the company’s Green Mission, they strive to build a more sustainable future of mobility by lowering its own carbon footprint and helping its customers to lower their carbon emissions. They are continuously looking at the entire lifecycle of their products and services and how this impacts the global environments in which they are used. The ISO certification reflects their commitment to sustainability and also validates the processes and best practices they implement to create more efficient and sustainable operations.

In one example, Webfleet launched an initiative to reduce the use of plastic in specific hardware packaging. As a result, the use of plastic collateral in these packages decreased by up to 96 percent.

With the recently launched Green Your Fleet platform, Webfleet Solutions enables its customers to join the re-greening programme, allowing them to easily calculate an estimate of their annual CO 2 emissions based on their fleet size and vehicle types.
