SAGIC PLATINUM PARTNER 2026

The South African Green Industries Council (SAGIC) is pleased to announce that Rand Water – Water Wise will continue its Platinum Sponsor partner status with SAGIC for 2026.

SAGIC is a voluntary NPC umbrella organisation representing the greater green industry which, by its very nature, is fully reliant on accessibility to water and therefore ascribes to the intelligent use of water. The partnership with Rand Water-Water Wise is viewed as vital for the green industry; the intelligent use and conservation of water by the green industry and its consumers is equally vital.

Rand Water was formed in 1903 and in the ensuing 120 years, developed three major schemes – the Vaal River Scheme including the Barrage, the Vaal Dam and the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. The latter is Africa’s largest water transfer scheme.

The annual SAGIC Convention to be held at Riverside on the Vaal this year is appropriately themed ‘Water’ and represents the perfect opportunity and platform to launch and drive home the water message. The primary objectives are to:

* increase awareness of the SAGIC/Rand Water partnership and its contribution to water conservation;

* engage the gardening community (trade and consumer) with practical, water-wise gardening advice;

* highlight partnerships, community workshops and achievements.

Moreover, it is to strengthen awareness of water wise principles and best practice by targeting consumer and trade audience engagement across social media platforms, leading up to and following the 2026 SAGIC Convention.
